Synopsis

El Asiento, a small Cuban village. One street, a grocery store, houses with faded, sun-scorched colors. Three hundred inhabitants who have been waiting for progress for decades. And it's not the arrival of the internet, huge televisions, motorcycles replacing horses, or the comforts of a capitalist lifestyle brought back by those who tried their luck in the United States that seem to change things. Here, there's almost nothing to eat. But the people seem to accept it, and I film them where they stand... waiting.

Returning to El Asiento, where I was born, I realize that this time spent "doing nothing" is probably one of the only treasures we have left.
