Trauerzeit (mourning period)

The film is a creation for Johan Leysen's theatrical performance, "Trauerzeit" (mourning period), based on "The Song of Love and Death by Cornet Christophe Rilke".

The film is projected in 16mm on the stage at the beginning of the show. The sound of the projector and the black and white images. A boy on a swing passes the time. In the garden, bees gather nectar from some flowers, a crow perches in a tree… At the end of the show, the projector is switched back on and color appears…
